Partnership between Hokkaido University Hospital and TMU-Shuang Ho Hospital

Hokkaido University Hospital(HUH) has signed a partnership with Taipei Medical University-Shuang Ho Hospital(SHH). International Academic Exchange Agreement was signed on July 10th, at Hokkaido university hospital, to create the opportunity for research collaboration and exchanges of staff as well as publications and information.

After the signing ceremony, Dr. Chih-Hsiung Wu, Superintendent of Shuan Ho Hospital and the delegation from TMU-SHH toured Hokkaido university hospital including state-of-the-art Proton Beam Therapy Center.

Taipei Medical University-Shuang Ho Hospital opened on July 1, 2008 with 1580 beds and is the largest hospital in Taipei County. SHH offers outpatient, inpatient, emergency services plus 36 specialties and sub specialties. With the only medical heliport in New Taipei City, SHH offers emergency medical air transportation for patients from remote areas including other countries. SHH received JCI accreditation in 2009 and was re-accredited in 2012.
