On February 19, we welcomed Mr. Simon Lei as a presenter of the 61st International Hour.
He is a 3rd year student of The University of Sidney, Australia who started to take clinical clerkship in Hokkaido University School of Medicine in January.
Title of the presentation was ‘From the Land Down Under to Japan’s Most North’.
Many students and doctors gathered at the room and listened to his presentation with great interest. His presentation became an eye-opener for every participant.
He introduced us his aim and goal about being a doctor, his interest in neurology, the current education system of his home university, the characteristics and facts of hospitals in Australia, and comparison of health care systems between urban and rural areas in Australia.
Mr. Simon Lei throwing out a question to the participants.
After the presentation, everyone enjoyed talking over lunch.
We would like to thank Mr. Simon Lei for giving us a unique and interesting presentation which we could never get elsewhere, and we wish his stay in Hokkaido University worthwhile.
