On December 3, we welcomed Ms. Casey Smith as a presenter of the 66th International Hour.
She is a 5th year student of Otago University, New Zealand who started to take clinical clerkship in Hokkaido University School of Medicine in November.
Title of the presentation was ‘AOTEAROA Land of the Long White Cloud’.
Many students and doctors gathered at the room and listened to her presentation with great interest.
In the first half of her presentation, she introduced us the unique culture of New Zealand, so to speak, “Kiwi culture”, featuring their traditions, delicious cuisines, recommended sports, sight seeing areas and so on.
In the second half of her presentation, she explained us the difference of medical systems and medical educations between New Zealand and Japan.
After the presentation, she responded to many questions.
We would like to thank Ms. Casey Smith for giving us an interesting presentation.
