On February 29th, Graduate School of Medicine welcomed Anna Maria Toma, 3rd-year medical student at University of Iceland. She is the first student visiting from Iceland after the conclusion of the departmental exchange agreement between Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine and School of Medicine and University of Iceland in June 2015.

Toma san’s father is Japanese and her mother is Icelandic. Toma san participates in research electives in the Department of Psychiatry until the middle of May.
