Student Stories: Second Study Abroad Seminar Nov. 10

We have welcomed Hajime Senjo and Mio Shibata, our undergraduate medical students to share their study abroad experiences.

Hajime shared his story entitled “Bed side learning in England”, one month he spent at the University of Southampton in England. Hajime talked about – how he was inspired to go to England, how he relished challenges such as British accents or delightful British cuisine, also fun and entertaining experiences including Football (a.k.a Soccer) and West End, and, of course, benefits obtained from the program.

Mio talked about her experience attending, short but very intensive, Medical English Workshop at HITC (Hawaii International Tokai College). While in Hawaii, famous for being tranquil and relaxing, it seems Mio’s brain was running full throttle from the morning until night, and did not have much time to “hang loose”. Mio also demonstrated a mini-session and shared what she has learned at the program with participants.
